Are You a CEO? Questions Worth Asking…

Inspired by my members…

Feeling lonely? Isolated? In a self-imposed exile?

The role is complex.

The velocity of issues, challenges, and opportunities coming at the “CEO” is constant. How do you filter? How do you prioritize? How do you decide what to do?

Some questions to consider. What if:

… “busy” isn’t the same as productive?

…adrenaline & cortisol coursing through the veins is merely an illusion of impact?

…the most effective leaders are selfish with their self-care so that they can be selfless for others?

…self-care is defined broadly: sleep, exercise, healthy food, fun, less travel, family connection…?

…leading on the 4 DUTIES is the priority:

1. Vision–Mission–Strategy: compelling saga, positive drama?

2. Culture: encourage, discourage & never tolerate?

3. Team: bonded, unified, playing nice?

4. Resources: showing up at the right time?

…steadiness of mood and detached perspective are critical to advancing the 4 duties?

… “leading through others” is the only way for the leader to have the time to lead?

…every leader paused and “time blocked” sacred moments for quiet — to think and to breathe deep — time for strategic and creative solitude?

…a leader’s wise judgment is what the follower wants most?

…sound judgment is cultivated more in the downtime than the uptime?

How might you respond?
