Developing an Integrated Professional Presence in the Physical and Virtual Worlds

The Professional Development Consortium (PDC) hosts its Summer conference in Seattle July 12-14, 2012. The theme of the conference is Innovation – Above and Beyond. I have the honor and pleasure of being on a panel moderated by professional development expert and blog author Cindy Pladziewicz.  We’ll be discussing how to develop an integrated professional presence both online and offline. Joining me on the panel are: Sheri Zachary, Director of Career Development at Saul Ewing; Ceil O’Connor, Director of Professional Development & Pro Bono Initiatives at Cozen O’Connor and Asher Bearman, blog author and Venture Capital lawyer at DLA Piper.

The PDC focuses on the field of professional development within law firms, government agencies and corporations.

Conference details: The panel discussion explores how professional development folks can help lawyers to engage effectively with clients and colleagues in person and online. “The emphasis,” according to Cindy, “will be on how the two are intertwined and compliment each other, particularly on how building a strong Internet identity will help lawyers connect more quickly and broadly with colleagues, clients and referral sources.” Friday, July 13th — 8:30 to 10:00am at The Westin Seattle My thanks to Cindy, Sheri, Ceil, Asher and Kara McKenna for the solid prep and meetings today and tomorrow.  Here’s our mug shots (Left to right: Kara, Ceil, Sheri, Cindy, Asher, Kevin):
